I’m Michael Dunn, novelist.
I write horror and humor. I enjoy the simple things in life: drinking martinis, summoning the Dark Lord back to our physical plane for the destruction of all mankind, and riding my bike. I have written one book prior, The Shadow of the Moon (I guess this is called a shameless plug, but I am not sure). Now, this company Shadowleaf Publishing has taken an interest in my books (suckers).
My newest book, The Lightning Series, Book 1: The Approaching Storm, should be out shortly. I will let you know when it is available to the public. Nevertheless, here is a picture of the cover.
I hope you enjoy this book. It is about what happens when the wrong kid gets super powers. Instead of the awkward and nerdy kid getting superpowers, what happens when the good looking, popular, jock, who is arguably well-adjusted, gets them instead.
It took me a long time to write this book, because I had to learn how to write a book. “You write one word after another for about 50,000 to 100,000 times.” Yeah, well, it is not as easy as that. I remember how I got this story. I had fallen asleep in 7th grade English class and when I awoke it was there in its barest form. I had the story and then I had to learn to write well. That is the part that took the longest.
